Samoa's Aggie Grey's Hotel has reportedly bought a five star hotel in French Polynesia, the Meridian Tahiti Resort.
The Samoa Observer reports that Aggies Grey's general manager, Lupesina Frederick Grey, has visited Tahiti at least twice a month since July to complete the purchase.
The paper says French Polynesia's president, Oscar Temaru, is very supportive of the sale, reporting him saying he's proud a fellow Polynesian has invested in his country.
The Meridian Tahiti Resort has 200 luxury rooms.
Aggies Grey's operates two hotels in Samoa and has a shareholding in the national airline.
