Fiji's interim prime minister is addressing the nation today morning on the way forward for the public and all stakeholders when the Public Emergency Regulation is lifted.
Frank Bainimarama in his New Year's message said that the PER will be lifted on Saturday to make way for the constitution consultation, which is expected to start next month.
Fiji Village online says announcement to lift the PER has been widely welcomed by the international community including the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, the Commonwealth, USA, United Kingdom, Japan and France.
