Most of the seventeen rugby players from the Samoan 'A' rugby team that were injured in a car accident last week have been discharged from hospital.

Three players are still admitted at the national hospital for further medical care because they have suffered serious injuries.

The accident has prompted a call from the police for the country's rugby union to use a mini van bus instead of a truck to transport the players to training.

Meanwhile Fepulea'i Selefuti Patu has been reappointed as head coach of the "A" side for the Pacific Rugby Cup tournament which will kick off next month in Australia.

The former Manu Samoa winger Sila Vaifale will join Mr Patu as assistant coach while former Manu Samoa assistant manager, Ryan Schuster, has been appointed manager.
