5:23 am on 23 January 2012

People living near the Tiavi falls in Samoa are about to be evicted, if the an MP, Tu'u'u Anasi'i Leota, has his way.

The Samoa Observer reports Tu'u'u Anasi'i as saying there is growing concern about the families contaminating the water people depend on for daily supplies.

He says houses have been built, and people shouldn't be using the land.

The Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, agrees, saying the families living on the land, which is owned by the government, should be chased away immediately.
