Papua New Guinea's Treasurer, Don Polye, has launched a new party ahead of elections later this year.
The Triumph Heritage Empowerment party has 22 members in the current parliament, after splitting off from Sir Michael Somare's National Alliance Party.
It has nine ministers in the O'Neill government.
The Post Courier reports the Party was officially launched yesterday with Mr Polye as its Parliamentary Leader.
A convention is being held today.
