The New Zealand government has announced it will donate just over 286-thousand US dollars to support flood-relief efforts in Fiji.
Six people are known to have died as result of heavy flooding in Western parts of the main island of Viti Levu.
More than 1,500 people have been evacuated and many areas have been left without power and water.
The Foreign Minister Murray McCully says New Zealand's funding will be given to aid agencies including the Fiji Red Cross for the distribution of essential relief items.
He says assessments are on-going and New Zealand will consider further assistance as more information comes to hand.
