Fiji flooding causing US$4.8m damage

Fiji's interim government says sugar crops and mills have suffered nearly five million US dollars in damage from last week's flooding.

The Ministry of Sugar earlier put the cost at just more than ten million dollars but has revised the cost.

Cleaning silt and debris from the Rarawai mill is estimated at more than a million dollars alone but the interim government says other mills around the country were unscathed.
