Samoa is now producing cooking oil from avocado and flour from breadfruit and cassava.
The Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Maleilegaoi, officially launched the products at the headquarters of the Scientific Research Organization in Nafanua.
The products have been under development for some time by the Organization with assistance from AusAid of just over 110,000 US dollars.
The Samoa Government support was through the Research Organization's budget of over 92-thousand dollars.
Tuilaepa has lauded the health qualities of Samoa's avocado oil and breadfruit flour.
