The Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry says he has not yet made a decision on whether he will be contesting the 2014 general election.
FijiLive reports Mr Chaudhry saying he will be considering other options first before making a final decision.
He says people need to be patient and wait for him to make an announcement.
He also says it is too early to say whether he will be involved in consultation on a new constitution, as nothing has been announced yet.
Mr Chaudhry says a new FLP president is expected to be elected in August.
