In Samoa, the bus terminal at the Fugalei Market is under heavy police watch after 14 youths were caught smoking and distributing drugs in a police raid.

Out of the fourteen, ten were caught during the raid and the other four were nabbed in a separate raid.

All have been charged with possession of narcotics.

The Police Commissioner, Lilomaiava Fou Taioalo, says police are now surveilling 24 hours public places known to be where drugs are sold such as the bus terminals, flea market, and other public places.

He says police are also monitoring reports of drugs being used at the Tafa'igata Prison.

The accused will appear in court next week.
