Sport: PNG expect much tougher test against NZ

Having seen off their Pacific Island rivals, Papua New Guinea women's football coach Steven Mune says big improvements will be needed to get past Oceania champs New Zealand.

The two teams will meet in a home and away playoff beginning at the end of the month for the right to represent Oceania at the London Olympics.

PNG went unbeaten in the qualifying tournament in Tonga which ended this week but Mune says if they're to have any chance against the Football Ferns they'll need to improve and play well across the board.

"We played them in 2010 in the Nations Cup and they're pretty, a very strong side - more very attacking- but we'll just have to contain the pressure and move as a unit in terms of offensive and defensive."
