The Asian Development Bank and the government of Solomon Islands have agreed to a new five-year strategy to reduce poverty and promote inclusive growth.

The Bank says the money will go towards improvements in transport, information and communications technology, renewable energy, and public sector management.

The ADB has agreed to a plan through the years 2012 to 2016 that envisages 38 million US dollars in grants and concessional loans and a million dollars each year in technical assistance.
