PINA meeting this week in Fiji

The Pacific Islands News Association is meeting this week at Pacific Harbour in Fiji beginning with a series of workshops today.

More than 100 journalists from around the region will converge to discuss pertinent issues regarding the media industry.

The Fiji Times reports the interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama will officially open the meeting tomorrow.

Workshops will consider topics such as corruption, sports, climate change, the millennium development goals and non-communicable disease.
