10:38 am on 6 April 2012

The LBJ Hospital in American Samoa is stilll waiting for the balance of the 1.5 million US dollars from the $3 million loan from the Workman's Compensation fund that was passed by the legislature in February.

The Chairman of the Hospital Authority Board has been unable to meet with Governor Togiola Tulafono concerning the payment.

As far as the hospital is concerned it has met conditions of the loan agreement imposed by ASG such as the reduction in hours for non exempt employees and curtailed hours of operation for some clinics.

The hospital is considering reopening all clinics on Friday beginning next week.
