A primary school teacher in Samoa who was implicated in the death of an eight-year-old pupil last month has pleaded guilty to assault.
Telesia Funa'i, who teaches at Vaie'e Primary School, was originally charged with assault causing death but the charge was later changed when the post mortem found no connection between the assault and the girl's death.
The girl had a heart condition.
The District Court has set her sentencing for July 22nd.
