Man accused of burning Samoa flag out on bail

The man accused of burning the Samoa flag in front of government house last week is out on bail.

Fa'ataui Tapuaiga Paepae, 31, of Mulivai Safata, was called before District Court Judge Vaepule Alo Vaemoa Va'ai, yesterday.

He was represented by lawyer, Leuluaiali'i Tasi Malifa.

Paepae faces three charges of assault, wilful damage of a flag that is the property of Samoa and wilfully destroying of the Samoa flag.

Judge Vaepule granted Paepae bail and ordered him to report to the Police post in Poutasi, Falealili, every Wednesday until the matter is heard again in Court early next month.
