A former Vanuatu foreign minister says the government must make public a critical auditor's report into allegations of mismanagement and corrupt practices at the country's embassy in Beijing.
Joe Natuman, who is now in the opposition, had ordered the investigation in 2010.
A draft copy of the report obtained by RNZI nearly a year ago revealed serious irregularities and called for major changes, including the way the ministry of foreign affairs manages its diplomatic staff.
But Mr Natuman says the auditor general John Path is yet to formally issue the report and no action has been taken.
"They have to come out and issue the report and then whatever the recommendations are, pursue it and if necessary police have to step in and prosecute people if there have been any allegations of mismanagement of the funds."
