A 39-year old woman in Samoa has been jailed for five and a half years for selling marijuana.
Off-duty police officers caught Fevilia'i Isaako at the Saleologa wharf earlier this year with a suitcase carrying nearly ten kilogrammes of marijuana.
She says she was paid one thousand dollars to deliver the cannabis from the main island Upolu to a drug dealer in Savaii.
Police valued the drugs at more than 30,000 US dollars.
The woman told the court that she had been working as a drug courier because it's quick money.
She says she used her earnings to pay school fees for her children, including a son attending the National University of Samoa.
