Sport: Fiji want strong finish in London Sevens

Fiji is targeting a strong finish to the London Sevens this weekend, despite holding just a slim chance of lifting the overall series title.

New Zealand stretched their lead atop the competition standings to 11 points last week with victory in Glasgow, while Fiji had to settle for third place after being beaten by England in the Cup semi finals.

To have any hope of collecting their second World Series championship, Fiji need to win in London and hope New Zealand fail to make the top six.

Fiji skipper Setefano Cakau says whatever the case they just want to finish on a successful note.

"We didn't do much better at Glasgow last week but we're looking forward for this weekend at the London Sevens. New Zealand is on top there but we want to end the series with a good result."
