Auckland City will again represent Oceania in the lucrative FIFA Club World Cup after beating Tahitian champions Tefana 3-1 on aggregate in the O-League final.
Auckland went into yesterday's second leg in Papeete with a slender 2-1 advantage and extended that lead just before half-time through Spanish striker Manel Exposito.
The match took another twist with City midfielder Alex Feneridis sent off midway through the second half but the home side failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage.
The Oceania winners will now go on to take part in the Club World Cup in Japan in December, for which they will receive a minimum US$500,000
