Flying Fijians coach Inoke Male has named Netani Talei as captain for next week's Pacific Nations Cup opener against Japan.
Edinburgh based Talei is one of seven overseas players included in Fiji's 24-man-squad to face Japan.
He says it will be an honour to lead his country and he feels humbled.
Four players will be added to the squad for their second PNC match against Samoa.
The squad to face Japan is:
