The engineer and first mate of the American Samoa Government vessel, MV Sili, have reportedly been removed from their positions for allegedly drinking on the job.

Sources at the Port Administration say the two were drinking as the vessel made its return trip from Manu'a last week.

One is alleged to have made threatening remarks to another crew member when told to stop.

The engineer and first mate have been assigned to other duties pending disciplinary action which may include termination.
