Three New Zealand forensic officers are in Samoa helping local police investigations into a shooting incident which left one man dead.

Togia Rapi had been killed by a bullet fired by police or a family member during a drug raid operation at Faleatiu village last month.

Samoa police had asked the New Zealand aid programme to provide the forensic experts.

The three started their investigations at Faleatiu yesterday.

Meanwhile, the post mortem report into the cause of death have still not been completed, and no one has been charged in connection with the shooting.
