The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a heavy rain warning for the whole country and flood warnings for the Eastern parts of Viti Levu.
"The forecaster Misaeli Funaki says (miss ay el e) (fon ar keye) there has already been some localised flooding but it wasn't serious."
He says people are being warned about rising river levels along certain parts of Viti Levu.

Also a flood warning for rivers along the Wainibuka, Wailotua, and Nayavu rivers in the low lying adjacent areas.
Misaeli Funaki says flooding is not expected to be anywhere near the levels that caused serious damage to Fiji's Western division earlier this year.
