In Vanuatu, the search continues for eight people missing at sea after their boat capsized during a trip from Emae to the capital, Port Vila.
The Vanuatu Mobile Force says the boat got into trouble on Wednesday with waves as high as five metres.
It says three people managed to swim for about two hours to reach Matasso island to alert authorities.
