The owners of StarKist Samoa cannery in American Samoa, Dongwon Industries, is ending the employment several of its senior executives while making more changes to its management team at its headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Among the executives who are leaving the company are the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Vice President of Supply Chain, IT Director and Human Resources Director.

According to an article published by Intrafish, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed the individuals are no longer with the company as StarKist continues to make strategic changes to better align and leverage Dongwon's expertise and streamline the organization.

This follows management changes and a shift in its sourcing approach in March, according to Intrafish.

The StarKist President and CEO In-Soo Cho says management changes at StarKist are part of an over-reaching strategy of globalization and supply chain integration.
