Vanuatu's Ambassador to the European Union, Roy Mickey Joy, says he wants Vanuatu to host next year's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The Daily Post reports the Ambassador saying that having brought the ACP - EU Joint Council of Ministers Meeting to Vanuatu this month, he is seriously looking at negotiating with the Secretary General of the Commonwealth.
Mr Joy says the new Convention Centre at Le Lagon Hotel which has a capacity to hold 1,000 delegates, and other vital infrastructure is already in place.
