Samoa's former Minister of Agriculture, Seuala Taua Kitiona, has pleaded guilty to three charges of bribery and will be sentenced next month.
Talamua online reports that Kitiona was originally charged with nine counts of bribery after the general elections of 2011.
Court documents stated that in December 2010, he gave a box of chicken to Iona Anau and asked Mr Anau to vote for him.
He later gave him money for the same purpose.
In February last year Kitiona gave money to 16 people again requesting that they vote for him.
Six other bribery charges were withdrawn.
Seuala is a three time MP for the constituency of Aleipata Itupa i Luga.
He won last years general election but lost the seat after an electoral petition against him was successful.
