The police in Samoa are still waiting on forensic results as they continue to investigate the fatal shooting of a man in Faleatiu village near Apia more than two months ago.
Three police officers received gunshot wounds during a drug raid on a house in the village, and a man from the house died in the crossfire.
A team of New Zealand forensic scientists was brought in to investigate and determine whether the bullet which killed Togia Rapi came from a police-issued firearm or one owned by villagers.
A spokesperson for the Samoa police, Leaupepe Fatu Pula, says the experts in ballistic forensics haven't returned their findings yet.
He says while no arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing and he is confident justice will be served.
