The Secretariat of the Pacific Community and the Melanesian Spearhead Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to forge stronger links.
The two entities provide advisory, capacity building and research services.
The SPC Director-General Dr Jimmie Rodgers says his organisation is looking forward to sharing information and engaging in dialogue with the MSG.
The MSG Secretariat Director General Peter Forau says it is an opportunity to make use of the SPC's technical expertise.
