Results declared in 30 seats in PNG's general elections

Results have been declared in at least thirty seats in Papua New Guinea's general election as vote counting continues in most provinces.

The 30th seat declared, Kandrian-Gloucester Open in West New Britain province has been won by the former National Planning Secretary, Joseph Lelang.

It's the first seat won by the Coalition for Reform Party.

The political party ahead in the most of the 111 electorates, the People's National Congress, has secured 6 seats and leads in 22 others.

The People's Progress Party has won four seats while the Triumph Heritage Empowerment party has three wins, and leads in 11 others.

Independent candidates have won two seats and lead in thirteen.
