Vanuatu magistrate, Steven Felix, has ordered 27 year old American student, Faviola Brugger Dadis, to pay nearly 1500 US dollars in fines for immigration and customs offences.

The woman, who was arrested a month ago after a police raid on the super yacht Phocea, is believed to be the partner of the vessel's owner, Pascal Anh Quan Saken.

She was ordered to pay an amount of about 900 dollars for disembarking from the Phocea before receiving official clearance from Vanuatu authorities.

Brugger Dadis is also to pay a fine for obstructing the police, customs and quarantine officials when they boarded the vessel.

Last week 13 crew pleaded guilty to disembarking before receiving clearance.
