An extra-ordinary session of the Vanuatu parliament, adjourned after its opening on Wednesday, will cost the country nearly ten thousand US dollars.

Parliament has been adjourned until Monday to allow MPs more time to read through the bills.

MPs complained on Wednesday that they had not had time to look through the bills.

There are 21 bills to be debated in the session - the last before the October election.
