The Solomon Islands government is hoping to establish a new Economic Growth Centre Division.
The Division is part of the Ministry of Rural Development's plan to replace the defunct Social and Economic Bureau.
According to the Solomon Times, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Rural Development, says the proposed Division follows a Cabinet paper in December last year, looking at incorporating the former Social and Economic Bureau under a government ministry.
Selina Boso says the move is imperative for the government to ensure the continuity of the rural development policies of the NCRA government as catered for under the former-Bureau.
