Pacific Plan review set to go by end of next month

6:14 pm on 17 September 2012

The Secretariat of the Pacific Islands Forum says it expects to have a full team in place to review the Pacific Plan by the end of October.

The team, to be led by former Papua New Guinea prime minister, Sir Mekere Morauta, will include two officials from Forum countries and two consultants.

The Pacific Plan is the region's blueprint for closer regional links and has been the driving force of the Forum's operations since 2005.

The updated Plan is to be presented at next year's leaders summit in the Marshall Islands.
