American Samoa airline resumes flights

10:19 am on 19 September 2012

American Samoa's Inter Island Air resumed flights to Samoa yesterday after a week long suspension due to problems with the engine of its Dornier aircraft.

The airline made arrangements with Polynesian Airlines to carry passengers who had been booked on its flights between Tafuna and Faleolo airports all of last week.

With Inter Island air's plane grounded, there were no flights to Manua's last week.

The government aircraft Segaula has not been flying for some time.

Inter island Air operated two flights to Apia yesterday and is planning to resume flights to Fitiuta Airport this morning.
