Four American Samoan gubernatorial candidates who were challenged by rivals, Save Liuato and Tofoitaufa Sandra King, have been cleared to run in the November elections.
The appeal court denied their challenge on the eligibility of other candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, Lolo Moliga, Dr Salu Hunkin Finau, Taufete'e John Faumuina Junior, and Le'i Sonny Thompson.
The judges ruled the candidates were not required to resign from their government jobs before actively starting their campaigns.
