Papua New Guinea's National Executive Council has made several appointments to the head of key government agencies and organisations in the country.

The Cabinet has reappointed Ivan Pomaleu as Managing Director of Investment Promotion Authority for a second term.

James Kaiulowas has been appointed Acting Managing Director for the coconut industry's statutory board, Kokonas Indastri Koporesen.

Dr Kaiulowas will temporarily fill the position which became vacant when the outgoing Managing Director Tore Ovasuru resigned to contest the recent elections.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has announced that the Cabinet has revoked the appointment of Guy Robiemon as a member of the National Forest Board and appointed Bonny Ninai as the Forest Minister's nominee on the Board.

Mr O'Neill has also reportedly suspended the Education Secretary Dr Musawe Sinebare.
