Flying Fijians coach Inoke Male says November's Northern Tour will give his players important big-game exposure against top rugby nations.
Fiji open their four-match tour against England at Twickenham and will also face Gloucester, Ireland A and Georgia.
The schedule forms part of the IRB's push to find more meaningful matches for tier two and three nations in between World Cup tournaments.
Inoke Male says coming up against better quality opposition will have numerous benefits.
"It will be a good test, especially for the local boys. Also to play in Europe -especially England and Ireland, which is more different style of rugby against the island play so we need to play this style of game. The Saturday, Wednesday - we're going to use up our competition to level up to the tier one nations."
A group of local players will go into camp in Togalevu on Monday, with Male to name his final tour squad later next week.
