The government of Samoa has confirmed it purchased 100 percent of the Pacific Forum Line last week.
A statement from the Samoa Government says it's committed to the objectives the PFL was founded on 35 years ago, to maintain shipping services to encourage economic development of Pacific countries.
It says Samoa will secure the future of PFL through a more suitable business model.
