Citing the dire economic situation of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Philippines' Department of Labor and Employment is urging Filipino medical professionals to be cautious when accepting job offers in the islands.
The Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz is quoted in the Philippines media saying that Saipan may no longer be a viable destination for medical workers, or any other skills categories for that matter.
There are doubts the Commonwealth Health Center has the financial capacity to meet the payroll needs of new medical workers.
The report also says there is a virtual standstill in the operations of the Center.
