The Cook Islands have been outclassed 65-29 by Wales in last night's opening match of the netball tri series in Rarotonga.
The teams went goal for goal in the opening exchanges before Wales pulled away to lead by 11 goals after the first quarter, 20 at half-time and 29 heading into the final period.
Tonight the Cook Islands back up against Scotland.
The Scottish coach Denise Holland says they're looking forward to coming up against a more physical style of play.
"I think it's really good for both Scotland and Wales to get into the Pacific and play against the different styles because obviously you just play against the same types of physiology all the time and it keeps the game a bit stagnant so I think it will be great for us to get up and work out how other teams actually tactically play the game and see what's possible, therefore, with different types of physiology."
