Water supply to more than two thousand households and businesses in Samoa is being rationed due to falling levels at the main reservoirs supplying Apia.
The rationing began on Tuesday after public warnings in recent months that people needed to cut their water use.
A senior Water Authority officer says despite the rationing, the situation is not as bad as last year when shortages led to rationing from June through to November.
