A Samoan fashion designer says there are opportunities in Britain and Europe for other designers.
Lindah Lepou was recently featured at the London Pacific Fashion show, which included designers from around the region to raise money for a British charity.
She says now that the first Pacific fashion show has been held in Britain, the goal is to keep building on that platform.
"As a stepping stone and an introduction or a platform into the UK, or Europe, who are fascinated with the Pacific in general. It is an opportunity because these kinds of events are often stuck in the Pacific and they don't go anywhere else."
Linda Lepou says a talk she gave at Cambridge University about textiles has also created a lot of opportunities.
