Investors from the United States and China have been among those most interested in putting money into Fiji this year.

Investment Fiji says 390 million US dollars worth of investment proposals have been received up until the end of September.

That's a 59 percent increase on the same period last year.

The interim government's investment marketing arm says the value of total projects implemented when compared to 2011 has more than doubled with more than 2000 jobs created.

Investment Fiji says the new and major investors were mostly from the United States, China, Gibraltar and Australia.

Real estate, agriculture, forestry and tourism are among the top sectors for investment.
