The University of the South Pacific has laid out plans to achieve higher standards over the next six years.
In its new strategic plan it says it wants a greater focus on quality and to achieve international accreditation of most its programmes.
It wants to further develop the regional campuses and place a stronger focus on postgraduate research.
The university also wants to achieve global leadership status in fields such as Pacific Studies and become a more enterprising university that allows students to become job creators not just job seekers.
And it wants to take a leading role in helping other educational institutions in the region.
