Fiji military personnel suspended over misuse of funds allegations

Five Fiji Military personnel who were investigated over allegations of misuse of funds have been suspended.

According to FBC News, the Military Chief of staff Brigadier-General Mohammed Aziz has confirmed their suspension.

He says the officers are alleged to have misused military funds.

FBC News understands investigations began after an audit by the Ministry of Finance.

Brigadier-General Aziz couldn't confirm the amount of money involved as investigations are continuing.
