After Evan full Fiji power restoration still weeks away

Two weeks after the destruction caused by Cyclone Evan the Fiji Electricity Authority says it will be the middle of next month before parts of the Western Division have power restored.

It says 99 percent of the Central Division is back on the grid.

But the Authority says parts of the Western Division, which was the worst affected by the storm, have less that half their power services re-connected.

It says the worst affected are Tavua, Nadarivatu and the rural areas around Rakiraki.
