Fiji coach Timoci Wainiqolo expects the usual suspects will come to the fore at the Wellington Sevens, which gets underway on Friday afternoon.

The Pacific country go into the tournament in third place in the overall standings, behind New Zealand and France.

Wainiqolo anticipates New Zealand, South Africa and Samoa to be their main rivals for the Cup title.

First, Fiji will need to negotiate games against Scotland, Australia and Portugal in Pool D and Wainiqolo says they expect to be tested.

"They're good teams, we not take lightly any team, they're a good team. Like us we are here, we want to play, we want to win, and we know how to tackle that. If they give them an opportunity they have to use it and at least we have a game - we are looking forward for this tournament and the next tournament and the to the world cup in five months."
