The Governor of American Samoa, Lolo Matalasi Moliga, has banned Government vehicles from having tinted windows.

He told a cabinet meeting in the territory that all tints will be removed from the vehicles so the public will be able to see who is driving them.

The Governor has also told the deputy commissioner of Public Safety to impound any government vehicle found without a 24 hour permit after hours.

He says department directors are the only people allowed to take their government vehicles home or use them after hours.
